Sales Floor - FULL TIME

FULL - TIME RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

Miller Industrial, a family owned and operated business, has been providing industrial hardware products to businesses and consumers since 1928. Our experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly team will do whatever it takes to ensure an efficient and satisfying shopping experience for our customers.  We provide a broad offering of commercial / industrial supplies at any quantity in order to be a single-source supplier.

We are currently seeking a Full-time floor sales associate to manage one of our departments.  The ideal candidate is expected to provide top-notch customer service to every customer, while maintaining a clean, inviting, and profitable department.  Prior hardware industry product knowledge and/or trades experience is a plus.  Candidates who speak a second language are highly encouraged to apply.  (Polish or Eastern European preferred)

Responsibilities Include:

- Assisting customers with finding merchandise and answering questions.

- Answering incoming phone calls from call-in customers and providing answers.

- Maintaining a profitable department

- Stocking and straightening store shelves.

- Counting and putting our inventory into stock.

- Housekeeping and maintaining aisles presenting a clean inviting department

- Suggesting new product lines

- Suggesting product to complete or compliment an existing line

- Merchandising new products and existing lines to stay current

- Assisting the store manager in any other areas needed by being a utility player.


Candidates must have the following Requirements / Characteristics:

- High School Education / GED

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

- Customer Service Oriented

- Self-starter / Self-motivated

- Monday – Friday Work Schedule with rotating Saturdays required

- Works well independently and with other team members

- Honest

- Dependable

Candidates with the following skills are highly encouraged to apply:

- Speaks a second language (Polish or Eastern European preferred)

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

- Industry & product knowledge in the MRO Industry
